“E” is for Enfield

Keith ordered a salmon Mediterranean Salad but the pub
didn’t have any salad which Keith and I thought was a little strange
considering it was the hottest day of the year so far.
Oh! Well, Keith swopped the salad for his staple fish and chips, Anthony ordered a salmon and pasta dish and I had glazed belly of pork, mashed potatoes and vegetables.

By the looks of it there had been had lot of money spent on
the area.
Along the side and back were little huts – enough probably
for six people a hut.
There were also about six tables scattered around the garden.
It was, in our opinion, just right for an English summer.
Forget the salad, the food was excellent.
We travelled by the Overground to Highbury and then changed
to a Great Northern Line train to Enfield Chase.
The Old Wheatsheaf was about 200 yards from the station.
Anthony bought a round of drinks because he arrived early and phoned us as we were almost there so we had drinks ready as we entered the pub.
I had lager, Keith had Guinness and Anthony had a beer from Laine of Brighton. It is amazing how many beers are now brewed by little one-man shows.
On the KP survey, we would probably give it about four out of five. Keith could not forget the salad!
